ALL DAY – 10 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 3600 CZK, 5- 8 pax 4500 CZK Karlovy Vary - is the most famous spa town in the Czech Republic. King Charles IV discovered the thermal springs in 1358. Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, and Peter the Great were just a few of the famous personalities that enjoyed the healing springs. Springs here are believed to have therapeutic qualities. Today there are 12 hot springs. Stroll along the riverside promenade and admire the architectural gems of Karlovy Vary. It is also the centre for the production of porcelain and glass and Becherovka (unique Czech herbal liqueur). ***** MOST RECOMMENDED HALF DAY – 3.5 hrs, Group 1- 4 pax 1100 CZK, 5- 8 pax 1400 CZK Karlštejn Castle -escape to the medieval fortress in the middle of breathtaking countryside, and still make it back in time to enjoy Prague nightlife. The castle is closed until 29th February. ALL DAY – 9 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 2900 CZK, 5- 8 pax 3600 CZK Kutná Hora - now a very popular historical town listed in Unesco World Heritage. Once Kutna Hora played an important role in the 13th century when silver ore was discovered here and until 16th century when silver resources were depleted. ALL DAY – 4 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 1600 CZK , 5- 8 pax 2000 CZK Terezín - The massive citadel of Terezin with more than 4km of walls was originally a military garrison and fortress built in the18th century by Emperor Joseph II and used as a defence against Prussian aggression. During WW II Nazi used Terezin as a transit camp and prison of the Prague Gestapo. Remember the sad history of the Jews in the Museum of the Ghetto. Self guided tours available. HALF DAY – 4.5 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 1500 CZK, 5- 8 pax 1900 CZK Mělník - This small quaint town attracts tourist due to its many wine bars, beautiful historical square and Renaissance Chateau. If you want to see another town not far from Prague, Mělník it is your best choice. ALL DAY – 11 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 4700 CZK, 5- 8 pax 5900 CZK Český Krumlov - Cesky Krumlov, a historical town in southern Bohemia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are three hundred buildings in the historical centre that enjoy protected status. The castle complex here is the second largest in the Czech Republic. Among the attractions are the Castle, the famous Hall of Masks, the unique Baroque theatre, the chateau garden with a Rococo fountain, Barber's Bridge, Alchemists' Homes, Eggenberg Brewery, Crafts’ Museum, and the wooden river rafts. ALL DAY – 10 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 3900 CZK, 5- 8 pax 4700 CZK České Buďejovice - this beautiful settlement from the 13th century has the largest medieval square in the world framed by Baroque and Renaissance houses. The town is also famous for its beer as it has been brewed here since the16th century (famous Budvar or Budweiser beer). Another interesting landmark is the Dominican Monastery and Cerna Vez (Black Tower). HALF DAY – 5 hours, Group 1- 4 2400 CZK, 5- 8 2900 CZK Plzeň - Mostly know as a city of commerce, however best as the cradle of Pilsen been. The Prazdroj Brewery was established in 1842 and today you can taste the most popular Czech beer there called Pilsner Urquell which is world famous. Visit the Museum of Brewery, Town Hall, Franciscan Monastery and Gothic Church of St Bartholomew. ALL DAY – 10 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 4400 CZK, 5- 8 pax 5500 CZK Jindřichův Hradec - Jindrichuv Hradec is a unique Gothic and Renaissance town situated above Vajgar Lake. Its centre has been declared a historical conservation area for its exquisite historical, architectural, and cultural sights. The most significant sight of the town is the third largest chateau complex in the Czech Republic, followed by the tower of the Church of Our Lady. The building of the former Jesuit seminary (today a museum) houses the so-called Krýza’s crèche, the largest mechanical nativity scene in the world. ALL DAY – 7 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 3400 CZK, 5- 8 pax 4300 CZK Hluboká Castle - Hluboka Castle was rebuilt in the spirit of the romantic English Gothic style, based on royal Windsor Castle. It was the wish of the countess Elizabeth Schwarzenberg, who was invited in 1837 to Queen Victoria's coronation in England, where she had the opportunity to see the Royal Castle. After her arrival to Hluboka, she persuaded her husband to reconstruct their palace into the castle seen in Windsor. It is a rare example of English architecture in Bohemia. Inside, there are magnificent collections of furniture, tapestries, porcelain, paintings and weapons. Primarily all wood details are worth taking note of. It is one of the wealthiest and most beautiful Czech castles, visited by thousands of tourists each year. ALL DAY – 8.5 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 3900 CZK, 5- 8 pax 4900 CZK Rožmberk Castle - Rozmberk Castle is one of the oldest castles in South Bohemia. Once it was the seat of the Rozmberk family in the 14th century - the most powerful clan in Bohemia after the king. The castle is perched above the river Vltava and was built in the early 13th century. During extensive reconstruction the castle was expanded to include a two-storey chateau. Today visitors can admire magnificent armoury, the art gallery with Baroque paintings as well as a valuable collection of arms, glass and ceramics. ALL DAY – 8.5 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 4000 CZK, 5- 8 pax 5000 CZK Mariánské Lázně- Marianske Lazne was developed at the beginning of the 19th century in a valley where many excellent healing waters spring from the ground. There are forty springs within the area and one hundred in the immediate vicinity. It is situated in a picturesque valley and on the wooded slopes of the Slavkovský forest area, 628 meters above sea level; sub-mountain colder climate, moderate irritation factor. See also Spa Colonnade which is a cast-iron Colonnade from 1889 and the singing Fountain - Flower in a shallow bowl. ALL DAY – 10.5 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 4900 CZK, 5- 8 pax 6900 CZK Olomouc - Located roughly halfway between Prague and Krakow, Olomouc boasts a concentration of Baroque architecture second only to Prague. Olomouc was founded as a royal town near the river Morava in the early 13th century. There are numerous religious monuments, such as the Bishop’s Cathedral of St. Wenceslas, surrounded by residential buildings with the former castle and canonry houses. After the Thirty Years’ War the town was magnificently rebuilt in the Baroque style. Apart from the buildings of the Jesuit order, the Archbishop’s Palace or the nearby pilgrimage place called “Svatý kopeček” (Holy Hill), a unique complex of six Baroque fountains and plague columns has been preserved. On the site of a large Baroque fort a green zone of parks and orchards was founded in the 19th century. HALF DAY – 4 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 1400 CZK, 5- 8 pax 1800 CZK Křivoklát Castle - Extensive Gothic royal castle from the 13th century, originally a hunting castle of the Přemysl dynasty, rebuilt at the end of the 15th century for Wladislaw Jagiello. Used as a prison in the 16th century. The castle was burned down in 1643, restored at the turn of the 19th a 20th centuries. The historical interiors include the chapel, Knights’ Hall, Royall Hall, the Fürstenberg library, the jail and the Fürstenberg museum. The cylinder-shaped tower houses an exhibit on hunting. The Huderka tower offers splendid views. HALF DAY – 4 hours, Group 1- 4 pax 1700 CZK, 5- 8 pax 2100 CZK Konopiště Castle - Surrounded by peaceful forests, Konopiste Castle has a rich and varied architectural history. The original castle was built as a fortress exhibiting the style of French citadels. Later, in the hands of various owners, the residence took on the characteristics of both Baroque and Renaissance styles. The final private owner of the estate was Archduke Franz Ferdinand, who owned the castle until his death at the start of World War I. The famous Trophy Hall is a testament to the Archduke's love of hunting.
