Q: Can I cancel a reservation I have already paid for and get refund?
A:
Yes, in most cases there is a two-hour notice period. So if you cancel
at least two hours prior to the start of the tour we guarantee a full
refund. There are however a few exceptions, like our Jazz Boat Cruise
or Private Tour etc where a 24-hour notice period applies.
Alternatively, we can offer you an option to take the same tour at a
different time or on a different date, or exchange the tour for another
one. If the replacement tour is more expensive, you will be asked to
cover the price difference.
Q: Can I change a reservation if the weather is not so good (raining etc)?
A:
Yes, but you will need to let us know at least two hours before the
tour starts. There are however a few exceptions, like our Jazz Boat
Cruise or Private Tour etc where special conditions might apply. If you
wish to change such a tour where special conditions were agreed upon,
it is not always possible to provide a change free of charge if notice
is given too late.
Q: Do you offer discounts to children, students, seniors or groups?
A:
Discounts are provided to children, students (with a valid ISIC card),
seniors and larger groups if specified for an appropriate tour. Where
it is not clearly specified, there are no discounts available.
Q: Are prices for walks, tours, excursions final?
A: There are no hidden extras: no extra service charges, taxes, booking fees or credit card fees.
Q: How do I receive the ticket/voucher for my tour?
A: On
receipt of your reservation we send you a booking confirmation by
email. Email confirmation is your ticket. Print it out and present it
at the start of the excursion or cruise. If you can't print the
confirmation email, you can still book the tour but you need to inform
us (please put a note on the booking form).
Q: Are prices inclusive of taxes? Are your prices competitive?
A:
Ticket prices are per person, including all taxes. Prices are the same
as or less than you would pay in Prague, and there are no booking fees,
service charges or credit card fees. With our generous cancellation
conditions even if you find a better deal while in Prague and you
choose to prepay, you can still cancel your booking with no penalty (if
you let us know two hours prior to the tour).
Q: Are all excursions, tours or guided walks wheelchair-friendly?
A: No, only some excursions/walks/tours are available for wheelchair users. In all cases a companion is needed to help with getting on and off the coach/minibus. Please contact us regarding the particular tour you are interested in and we will let you know if is available for wheelchairs.
Q: Is there any advantage in booking ahead?
A: Prague is a
popular city and booking ahead is highly recommended. It ensures you a
place on the tour of your choice, on the day of your choosing.
FAQ Walks and Tours
Q: I want take more than one tour. What are the best combinations? I do not want to see the same things again.
A: Some tours include parts of other tours, or in other words, if you go on one tour you might see something you have already seen. For example the Superior Tour is similar to the Grand Tour (or our complimentary / free tour). So if you go on our Superior tour there is no reason to take the Grand tour, and vice versa. The Prague Castle tour or the Jewish Quarter tour are also partly included in the Grand or Superior tour, so decide carefully which one you prefer as it is not recommended to do both of them. Other tour combinations are just fine.
Q: Do you guarantee a place on a tour if I just turn up at the meeting point?
A: No. You need to book online to be 100% sure of a place. We have no cancellation charges so you can cancel anytime up to one hour before the tour starts, so there is no risk for you.
Q: Do you offer tours only in English?
A: Tours offered on our website, except individual tours or car tours of Prague, are conducted only in English. However, we can arrange tours in any other language although the price will differ.
Q: Where exactly can I find your tour guide?
A: This is very simple. First go to the Astronomical Clock. This location is so famous that anyone will be able to direct you to it. The Astronomical Clock is located in the Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti). Then look for a red umbrella and you will find our tour guide waiting for you close by (the guide will be waiting 50 meters away to the left if you are facing the astronomical clock). This is also the meeting point for our Free Tour. There is a different meeting point for all cruises. As there is no tour guide for cruises, you will find detailed information in the confirmation email from where boat departs.
Q: How large are the tour groups? What kinds of vehicles do you use?
A: The size of the tour groups varies depending on the season etc. Usually in the summer months groups are larger compared to the winter months. But for your comfort we never put together too many persons, or we might use more tour guides, split the group etc. If the tour is provided with a vehicle, mostly we use minibuses with seats for 5, 8, 14, 19 or 21 passengers. For private excursions you have an option to specify the model or type of vehicle which might suit you best (for example you might prefer a minibus instead of a sedan etc, subject to availability).
Q: Are all your walks wheelchairs friendly?
A: All walks can be organized for persons using wheelchairs but the most recommended are: Old Jewish Quarter, Old Prague and (Ghost Walk), and Medieval Prague as the other tours use boat or tram transport.
Q: Are the minibuses heated/air-conditioned?
A: Yes, all our minibuses are heated in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer. Open panoramic buses are used for some tours in the summer months (usually from the middle of June to the middle of September) if the weather permits. These buses have an open roof and some also have no glassed-in windows.
FAQ Excursions (Day Trips)
Q: When I book your excursion outside of Prague will I be able to explore on my own or to shop etc?
A:
Yes. Even if you are booking a shared/organised excursion after you
arrive at the destination, your guide will give you a tour. After the
tour you will have free time to spend on your own (usually one or max
two hours, depending on the type of excursion). If you are booking a
private excursion you decide how long you stay and what you wish to see.
Q: What kind of lunch do you serve on trips outside of Prague?
A:
Where specified (only for selected shared/organised excursions) there
is lunch provided at a nice restaurant. Mostly you will be able to
choose from a few meals including a traditional Czech meal and a
vegetarian dish. Drinks are not included.
On those full day trips where lunch is not included in the price, you will have still time to have lunch on your own. Your guide will be happy to give you some restaurant tips.
In case of some half-day trips (like Terezín, Kutná Hora or Konopiště), there is unfortunately not enough time for a proper lunch, but you will have an opportunity to buy a snack.
Q: What is the recommended pick-up time from our hotel for this excursion?
A: Our advice is between 9 and 10am. However, this is only our recommendation, and you can specify any time which will suit you.
FAQ River Cruises
Q: Are there toilets on the boats?
A: Yes, every boat is equipped with lavatories.
Q: How are the boats laid out?
A: Every boat has an enclosed lower deck (where the buffet is set out) and an open sun deck with tables.
Q: Is smoking permitted on the cruises?
A: No, all cruises are non-smoking.
Q: Are there private tables for two on the boats?
A: The majority of tables are for four guests, some for six. There are no tables for two but if the cruise is not full, couples can have their own tables. If you wish to have a table just for two you might wish to book some of our private romantic cruises.
Q: Are the cruises offered enjoyable?
A: The offered cruises are very enjoyable, but should not be compared to the luxury cruises in Paris which are definitely much more expensive. For dinner and lunch cruises, the meal is served in a buffet style, which might not be suitable for everyone. If you require an a la carte menu, you should instead consider our Jazz Cruise. Please come with that expectation in mind and you will have a good evening.
Q: What is the dress code for the tours and cruises?
A: Smart casual from jeans to suits and evening dresses is considered OK.
Q: Do you offer discounts for large groups?
A: For groups of 20 people or more, we can arrange at no extra cost a private boat exclusive to your group. For even larger groups we can provide special discounts, menus etc.
Q: What is the dress code for the tours and cruises?
A: Smart casual from jeans to suits and evening dresses is considered OK.
Q: Are the offered river cruises wheelchair-friendly?
A: All boats except the Prague Jazz Boat accommodate wheelchairs, although there are no disabled toilets onboard.
Good Evening. We just arrived home from Prague and would like to take the opportunity to express how much we enjoyed our Superior tour with Petra. Liz E.
