A Spa and Ski Town Below Černá Hora
Janské Lázně lies in the eastern Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), below the mountain of Černá hora, about 170 km north-east of Prague. Its warm springs have drawn visitors for centuries, and in the 20th century the spa became known for treating children with polio. Today it treats disorders of the nervous system and of movement. The spa colonnade stands in the centre of the town.
In 1928 Janské Lázně got the first cable car in Czechoslovakia, up to Černá hora. Today a modern gondola takes skiers and walkers to the top, and near the town a treetop walkway leads through the mountain forest. With skis and luggage, a private transfer straight to your hotel door is the easy way to arrive.

Stopover Tip
The baroque Kuks Hospital, with Matthias Bernhard Braun's statues of the Virtues and Vices, lies on the Elbe just off the road to the mountains. Add it as a stop on your way and your driver waits while you look around.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

From Prague Centre it is about 170 km, which usually takes around 2 hours. From Prague Airport it is about 185 km and around 2 hours 20 minutes. Rush hour in Prague, or snow in the mountains, can add some time.
Yes. Skis and snowboards need extra space, so choose a minivan for a small group or a minibus for a larger one, and mention them when you book.
Yes. We drive to every spa house and hotel in Janské Lázně and pick you up again at the end of your stay. Book both journeys together and you get 10% off the return trip.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Janské Lázně in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.

Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
