A Mountain Resort Below Śnieżka
Karpacz lies on the northern slopes of the Giant Mountains, below Śnieżka, at 1,603 m the highest peak of the range, on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. It is one of the best-known mountain resorts in Poland, with ski slopes in winter and walking trails in summer, and the Karkonosze National Park begins just above the town.
Its most famous sight is the Vang church, a wooden Norwegian stave church from around 1200 that was taken apart in Norway and rebuilt here in the 1840s. A chairlift runs up to Kopa, a popular starting point for the walk to Śnieżka. With skis, boots and family luggage, a private car takes you right to your hotel door.

Stopover Tip
Liberec, with its grand town hall and the Ještěd tower on the mountain above the city, is a short detour on the way. Add it as a stop and your driver waits while you look around.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
FAQs: Transfers Between Prague and Karpacz
From Prague Centre it is about 170 km, which usually takes around 2¾ hours. From Prague Airport it is about 185 km and around 3 hours. Mountain roads after snow and rush hour in Prague can add some time.
Yes. Skis and snowboards take up extra room, so choose a minivan or a larger vehicle when you book and tell us how many pairs you bring.
Yes. Karpacz lies on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), while Špindlerův Mlýn and Pec pod Sněžkou are on the Czech side. Śnieżka, the highest peak, stands on the border between them.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Karpacz in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.
Yes. All our drivers speak English as well as their native Czech, and some speak other languages too. They are happy to talk about local culture, share tips on places of interest and answer your questions.
Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.
Yes to both. Baby seats are required by law, and for your baby’s safety we provide them free of charge.
The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
