A Mountain Resort for Skiers and Walkers
Szklarska Poręba lies in south-west Poland, where the Giant Mountains meet the Jizera Mountains, just across the border from Harrachov in the Czech Republic. Its name recalls the glassmakers who once worked here. In winter, the slopes of Szrenica draw downhill skiers, while Jakuszyce, part of the town, is a well-known centre for cross-country skiing.
In summer, marked trails lead into the Karkonosze National Park and to waterfalls such as Kamieńczyk and Szklarka. The town has long attracted writers and painters, and its forests and rocky hillsides make it a quiet base for walking and cycling. With skis, bikes or family luggage, a private car takes you straight to your hotel door.

Stopover Tip
Liberec, with its grand town hall and the Ještěd tower on the mountain above the city, is a short detour on the way. Add it as a stop and your driver waits while you look around.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

Yes. Downhill skis, cross-country skis and snowboards take up extra room, so choose a minivan or a larger vehicle when you book and tell us how many pairs you bring.
Yes. Jakuszyce, at the western end of the town, lies right at the border crossing with Harrachov, so most of the drive from Prague runs through the Czech Republic.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Szklarska Poręba in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.

For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure?
