The Gateway to the Bohemian Paradise
Jičín is a historic town northeast of Prague and the gateway to the Bohemian Paradise, a protected landscape of sandstone rocks, castles and forests. In the 17th century Albrecht von Wallenstein made it the capital of his Duchy of Friedland and began to rebuild it. His chateau, St James's Church and the Valdice Gate tower still frame the arcaded main square, Wallenstein Square.
An avenue of lime trees leads out of town to the Libosad garden and its loggia, also begun for Wallenstein. In Czechia, Jičín is known as the town of fairy tales: it is the home of Rumcajs, the robber from Václav Čtvrtek's children's stories, and it holds a fairy-tale festival every year. Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

From Prague Centre it is about 95 km, which usually takes around 1 hour 15 minutes. From Prague Airport it is about 110 km and about 1½ hours. Rush hour in Prague can add some time.
Yes. We drive to any address in the Bohemian Paradise. Enter the exact address of your hotel or guesthouse when you book and you see the price for that address.
Yes. The Prachov Rocks are only a few kilometres from Jičín. Add them as a stop when you book and your driver waits while you walk among the rocks. Short stops are free; longer stops have a waiting charge.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Jičín in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.
Yes. All our drivers speak English as well as their native Czech, and some speak other languages too. They are happy to talk about local culture, share tips on places of interest and answer your questions.
Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
