A Lake for Summer, Slopes for Winter
Lipno nad Vltavou lies on the shore of the Lipno reservoir, the largest body of water in the Czech Republic, created by damming the Vltava in the 1950s on the edge of the Šumava forest. In summer people come for sailing, windsurfing and swimming, and for the cycle paths along the shore. Hotels, apartments and holiday homes line the water.
In winter the Lipno ski area above the town offers family-friendly slopes. On the hill nearby, the Treetop Walk leads through the forest canopy to a lookout tower with wide views over the lake. A private transfer takes your group from Prague straight to your accommodation, with no changes on the way and no luggage to carry between buses.

Stopover Tip
Český Krumlov, a UNESCO-listed castle town in South Bohemia, lies on the way, about 40 minutes before Lipno. Add it as a stop and your driver waits while you look around.

We Offer Three Fares
Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
FAQs: Transfers Between Prague and Lipno nad Vltavou
From Prague Centre it is about 210 km, which usually takes around 2½ hours. From Prague Airport it is about 215 km and 2 hours 45 minutes. Rush hour in Prague, or snow in winter, can add some time.
Yes. Tell us about your skis or snowboards when you book and choose a vehicle with enough room. For a family or group with ski bags, a minivan or minibus is the best choice.
At any hotel, apartment or holiday home around the lake. Accommodation is spread along the shore in several villages, such as Frymburk, so give us the exact address when you book.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Lipno in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.
Yes. All our drivers speak English as well as their native Czech, and some speak other languages too. They are happy to talk about local culture, share tips on places of interest and answer your questions.
Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.
Yes to both. Baby seats are required by law, and for your baby’s safety we provide them free of charge.
The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
