A Danube Town by the Bavarian Forest
Deggendorf is a town in Lower Bavaria on the left bank of the Danube, close to where the Isar flows into it. Behind the town rise the hills of the Bavarian Forest, which is why it is often called the gateway to the Bavarian Forest. The old town centres on a long square with the Old Town Hall standing in the middle.
Danube river cruise ships stop at Deggendorf, and Vilshofen and Passau, two other cruise ports, lie further downstream. A few kilometres upstream lies Metten Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with a richly decorated baroque library. If your cruise starts here, a private transfer takes you from Prague straight to the landing stage, and your driver helps you with your suitcases.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

From Prague Centre it is about 225 km, which usually takes around 3 hours 10 minutes. From Prague Airport it is about 245 km and around 2 hours 55 minutes. For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Send us your details and our support team will recommend the best vehicle.
Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.

The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
