A Danube Town for River Cruises
Vilshofen an der Donau is a small Bavarian town where the Vils flows into the Danube, about 25 km upriver from Passau. Many Danube river cruises begin or end at its landing stages, so on changeover days the quiet riverside fills with ships and passengers.
A popular way to combine a cruise with Prague is to spend a few days in the city first and then let us drive you to the ship. Your driver takes you to the landing stage, helps with your suitcases and gets you there in good time for boarding.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
FAQs: Transfers Between Prague and Vilshofen
At your ship's landing stage. Cruise lines use several landing stages in Vilshofen, so tell us your ship's name and the landing stage from your cruise documents when you book.
Follow the boarding time in your cruise documents. The drive takes about 3½ hours, so most passengers leave Prague in the late morning for an afternoon boarding. Not sure? Ask us and we will suggest a pick-up time.
Yes. Your driver meets you at the landing stage at the agreed time and takes you to Prague, Prague Airport or anywhere else. Because the transfer does not start in Prague, you pay for it in full in advance.
Yes. Passau is about 25 km further down the Danube, and we drive there too: see our transfer between Prague and Passau.
Yes. All our drivers speak English as well as their native Czech, and some speak other languages too. They are happy to talk about local culture, share tips on places of interest and answer your questions.
Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Send us your details and our support team will recommend the best vehicle.
Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.
Yes to both. Baby seats are required by law, and for your baby’s safety we provide them free of charge.
The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
