A Castle Town in a River Bend
Loket is a small town on the river Ohře, about 12 km from Karlovy Vary. The river wraps almost all the way around the rock the town stands on, and the bend looks like an elbow, which is what loket means in Czech. Above the rooftops rises Loket Castle, a Gothic fortress where the future Emperor Charles IV was held as a small child.
The old town, with its square of colourful houses below the castle, is easy to explore on foot, and the German poet Goethe came here several times. The Svatošské skály rocks are a short trip down the river, and the Ohře is popular for canoeing. Loket is also easy to combine with Karlovy Vary: add the spa town as a stop on your transfer.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
FAQs: Transfers Between Prague and Loket
From Prague Airport it is about 135 km, which usually takes around 1 hour 35 minutes. From Prague Centre it is about 140 km and around 1 hour 50 minutes. Rush hour in Prague can add some time.
Yes. Add Karlovy Vary as a stop on your way to Loket. Book the Same Day Return fare: you pay the one-way fare plus a waiting charge, and the journey back is free. It is the cheapest option when you go there and back on the same day.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Loket in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.

Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
