A Town on the Elbe
Lovosice is a small town on the Elbe in northern Bohemia, at the foot of the volcanic hills of the České středohoří. In 1756 the Battle of Lobositz, the opening battle of the Seven Years' War, was fought here between the Prussian army of Frederick the Great and the Austrians. Today the town is known mainly for industry, above all its large fertiliser plant.
Lovosice is also a good base for the area. Litoměřice, with its cathedral and historic square, is just across the Elbe, the Terezín memorial is a few kilometres away, and Lovoš hill above the town is a popular walk with wide views. Coming for business or to visit family? Your driver takes you from the airport straight to the door.

Stopover Tip
Terezín, the 18th-century fortress town that the Nazis turned into a ghetto during the Second World War, is just off the motorway shortly before Lovosice. Add it as a stop and your driver waits while you visit.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
FAQs: Transfers Between Prague and Lovosice
From Prague Centre it is about 70 km on the D8 motorway, which usually takes around 50 minutes. From Prague Airport it is about 75 km and around an hour. Rush hour in Prague can add some time.
Yes. Add Terezín as a stop when you book, and your driver waits while you visit the memorial. Short stops on the way are free; longer stops have a waiting charge.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Lovosice in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.

Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.
Yes to both. Baby seats are required by law, and for your baby’s safety we provide them free of charge.
The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
