A Spa Town in Saxon Switzerland
Bad Schandau is a small spa town on the Elbe in the heart of Saxon Switzerland, a few kilometres from the Czech border. All around it rise sandstone towers, gorges and table mountains, much of them protected as the Saxon Switzerland National Park and known for hiking and rock climbing. In the town itself, a historic lift tower gives you views over the valley.
The best-known sights are close by: the Bastei rock bridge high above the Elbe and Königstein Fortress on its table mountain. A historic tram runs up the Kirnitzsch valley to the Lichtenhain Waterfall, and in season paddle steamers sail the river. Terezín, the former fortress town that the Nazis turned into a ghetto, lies just off the motorway on the way north. Add it as a stop and your driver waits while you visit the memorial.

If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.
