A UNESCO Old Town in Franconia
Bamberg lies on the Regnitz in Upper Franconia, in northern Bavaria. Its old town came through the Second World War largely intact and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Built over seven hills, it is often called the Franconian Rome. The Old Town Hall stands on its own island in the river, reached by bridges from both banks.
Bamberg Cathedral holds the famous statue of the Bamberg Horseman and the tomb of Emperor Henry II, who founded the diocese in 1007. Below the cathedral hill, the old fishermen's houses of Little Venice line the river. The town is also known for its many breweries and its smoked beer, Rauchbier. Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

From Prague Centre it is about 300 km, which usually takes around 3 hours 45 minutes. From Prague Airport it is about 340 km and around 3 hours 15 minutes. Rush hour in Prague can add some time.
Yes, as close as cars are allowed. Parts of Bamberg's old town are pedestrian zones; if your hotel is in one, your driver stops as near as possible and helps you with your luggage.
Yes. A stop in Karlovy Vary adds only a short detour. Add it when you book: short stops are free, and for longer stops there is a waiting charge.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Bamberg in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.

For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure?
