The Cathedral City on the Rhine
Cologne is Germany's fourth-largest city, founded by the Romans on the Rhine almost 2,000 years ago. Its Gothic cathedral, begun in 1248 and finished in 1880, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands right next to the main railway station. Inside, the golden Shrine of the Three Kings is one of its greatest treasures.
Cologne is also known for its carnival, its Christmas markets and Kölsch, the local beer served in small glasses. Walk across the Hohenzollern Bridge, hung with thousands of love locks, for the classic view of the cathedral. It is a long drive from Prague, but by private transfer you travel door to door with all your luggage and no changes.

Stopover Tip
Nuremberg, with its medieval old town and Imperial Castle, is close to the route, a little before halfway. A stop there breaks up the long drive, and your driver waits while you look around.

Waiting Charge
If the driver waits for you or you book a multi-stop transfer, for example while you visit one city before continuing to another, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
Minivan Special Offer
Many airport taxis take only three passengers and may not fit large bags in a sedan. We take groups of up to four passengers with their luggage in a larger vehicle at a special price: choose “Minivan” (4 seats) when you book online. The offer does not apply to groups of five or more, who travel by minibus at the standard price.

From Prague Centre and from Prague Airport it is about 690 km, which takes 6½ to 7 hours depending on traffic. It is a long drive, but you travel door to door with all your luggage and no changes. Short stops for a coffee or to stretch your legs are free; longer stops have a waiting charge.
Yes. The Koelnmesse exhibition centre is in Deutz, on the other bank of the Rhine from the cathedral. Your driver takes you to the exact address you give us, whether that is the fair or your hotel.
Yes. We drive between Prague and Cologne in both directions. If your transfer does not start in Prague, you must pay for it in full in advance.
Yes. All our drivers speak English as well as their native Czech, and some speak other languages too. They are happy to talk about local culture, share tips on places of interest and answer your questions.
Yes. Short stops along the way are free. If you stop for longer, a waiting charge is added to your fare.
For a group of three to six passengers on a longer trip, with plenty of luggage, we recommend our minivan. For up to two passengers with large bags, or three with medium-sized bags, a sedan is the better choice and gives you a more comfortable ride. Not sure? Let us know in advance and we will send a roomier minivan instead of the sedan, for the sedan price.
Yes to both. Baby seats are required by law, and for your baby’s safety we provide them free of charge.
The price we quote is final: there are no extra fees for our services or for short stops. Waiting charges for optional longer stops are not included. You will have no surprises or additional fees.
